We have faced many things together, the trials, the joys and happiness. Our coming together was strange. After an exhaustive 15 years of study , we faced each other. The first year was spent in making acquaintances, Second year heralds the growth of a new batch, the Third year made us blood brothers, fourth year has left its mark on everyone of us, It has officially given us wings to fly off……..

Is it really worth it… you bet… damn it is worth every penny that you got… I just wish that we could stay a little longer as we have started appreciating this unique relationship. I ask myself….Why does the duration of Btech programme just be for 4 years ???…   Why is it not possible to relive those days again …

But I shake myself up… I egg my self forward remembering that there is still some time left… I will win the fight with time by cramping up a millon memories in my tiny heart…. I will make the best of the remaining time.. I will talk some more, I will tease some more and get teased some more (anything just to talk to my friends)…. I will enjoy some more….  finally I will try to put on my best face when “The Moment” finally comes……

Enraged by the attitude of the other fellow we were determined to buy the tickets legitimately for the matinee shoe(afternoon show)….we had 2 hours to time pass…..ysp said that there is a universal bakery down the road about 1/2 a km and we can hike the way ….though i preferred subway we started walking towards the Universal Bakery….after about 1km and 2 or three meters we found it. We all were hungry and fell like a pack of wolves on the bakery. the shop keeper was rubbing his hands gleefully looking at our wallets. after eating and doing some BC we were back to the theater

Lo Behold! realization dawned upon us that we can never fight our way through the number of people there…….but to justify our conscience a little bit we stood outside the gate waiting for the great-iron-door to the theater to be opened…..the emotions euphoria, realization,anger, dawned upon us after seeing the fairer sex being allowed entry to the hallowed portals of the theater and we were a-g-h-a-s-t after hearing that they were given 2 tickets per head while we were still standing out….after about giving half of the seats in the theater the theater giant-iron-door-with-spikes was opened….the next events are too graphic to describe in detail…..too graphic i tell you, but shortly i found myself in the line far behind others ……i jumped to my victorious friend who were infront of meto the dismay of the people behind me and joined them…….then started the waiting….to while away the time we cracked sick jokes,made fun of one and everyone,and other stuff all along the signs of impending doom of not buying tickets visible everywhere. it took us some time to understand them but it was too late…hardly we have moved a meter(100 cm || 1000mm) it was announced that the tickets were over….it was met with a vehement outcry and profanity so wild it will make you jump out of your chair. the decision was taken fast and executed with pin-point accuracy.Then each one of us became a ZOMBIE with the sole intent of finding tickets-in-black …..we found one seller and after diplomatic relations ,rhetorics failed (though we did not argue too much)we spent Rs.1400 for 7 tickets . the ticket-seller had the day of his life…..we were embarassed by the amount we spent for the film and we solemnly vowed not to let anyone know about this if the film was bad….but it turned out that this was the best amount i have spent…..

The film is truly enjoyable in its own sense corroborated by the verdict given by the audience. Maybe it was even beter because of the anticipation after seeing the multitude of people at the theater. The music becomes better after seeing the film proof: i have been continuously listening to the songs back to back for straight 3 days. Each character was built with meticulous attention to even the smallest details. All through the film everyone was shouting their lungs out and after the film was over well we all were silent just for a sec feeling sad that the film ended…it reminded me of a saying i’ve read somewhere …..it goes like this…..”When You See a Great Wok Of Art you naturally become humble witnessing the great beauty Of it”…..ok peole i admit that i got a lil bit senti there….neways nice movie and a must see for all

Complacent with life i was munching away the dosas in the OBH-mess on sunday with bleak ambitions and a day of sleep with some more sleep but the sight of a group of people chatting seriously was very intriguing. being slightly impulsive by nature i went and interrupted them with a classic yo-whassup-buddy smile with strange hand-movements.Considering the topic length i abstain from writing entire conversation including the satires and few not-so-cool swear words. well the they were going to the film “Happy Days”.

Hearing for the first time i thought the movie name was cliched, but i tried to give it a shot.so i joined them as i know them to be focussed on their goals and use any means to achieve their goals …..the idea of going to the moovie brightened the prospects for the day and shortly we were at the IIIT main gate.From the start i was a bit skeptical about the movie. we had a lot of BC in the auto, topics spanning from earth to sky .Everyone in the auto argued about the logistics about the film. I quickly absorbed some of them raised some point and i was right in the discussion.Finally we reached our destination,no not the theater. we reached HI-Tech city and took another auto to kukkatpally- VISWANATH. yet another route to travel the mystic city of hyderabad registered into my brain.

The arguments which have receeded for a while while we were changing autos were back in action….so we reached viswanath theater at 11:00……the place was overflooded with people who have come for tickets and hawkers determined to sell all their goods. It was as if all the people in hyderabad and all the hawkers in hyderabad have come there.There was utter confusion . We went into the theater to confirm the show times and the ticket details. As the tickets fot morning show were being issued right then , my optimism reached a new all time high , I and raghudeep stood in a line with 300 people before us. we were chatting merrily and looking at all the beautiful girls(yeah they were really a-w-e-s-o-m-e) and shortly the tickets were sold out……we were not surprised as we were already late and discussing the action to be taken then i found someone selling tickets in black …….

Mr.Evil-Ticket-Seller:35 for 200*pause**look sideways*35 for 200…..

Me: hey this is daylight robbery……

Mr.Evil-Ticket-Seller:*Many people are ready to spend* so how many tickets you need….

Me: *He has the upper hand*ok 7 tickets in all

Mr:Evil-Ticket-Seller: no i have 2…

Me:fu%#$#%#$$%$…i need 7

All hopes of us attending the morning show were shattered..

15th August : Kalam visited . he had a great sense of humour……

16August: had CL1(computational linguistics exam)…..found out that i forgot parts of speech after all ….had a hell(literally) of time in exam…..

17th August: Now after i finished my NLP exam i find people running to their rooms, i wonder why ? They have compilers exam. well i was feeling kind of elated . i walked slower than usual to my room and wished all on the way….life suddenly felt so gr8. I knew that i will get my ass kicked next year or even this year in compilers class so it is not about writing Compilers exam….it is much basic and has a dark side to it. any guesses??? it is the euphoria that all my batchmates are working so hard and i do not have any exam..yey yey. it can lift you very high and it can be quite addictive. you suddenly become highly positive and do strange things that usually you dont do. On my part i started by playing all songs of NIRVANA at full volume to celebrate this freedom and then called the cleaner to clean the room (weirdy no.1) and i took all used clothes to the laundry(weirdy no.2) even more weirder is that i used them only for 2 days each……i even cleaned my laptop took a bath(count as weirdy no.5)…. i wrote my name on the door (dont even know why i did it(6) ) ….i personally think that the evil side in me is making me doing this or even sharat’s idea that the damn hovering aliens from mars are responsible for this is quite comforting

ps: i think that this freedom is what HID(happy independence day- as coined by MOKKA) is all about. it rocks………….

Usual characteristics:-

1).openly plotting how to block rapidshare,megaupload.

2). silently mourning why dc++ was introduced in college.(rumors has it that some fainted at its mentioning)

3). extraordinary inquisitiveness in current work when student comes to server room to report a problem…

4). sending mail with unprecedented enthu to all when network is abt to go down for an hour(again rumors has it they fight for this opportunity…)

5). searching for notepad in linux(i am serious abt this….)

Rumors have it that they are usually spotted in a 5 mm cm radius around the server room and have mysterious expressions on their faces while they are outside…also the server room itself is the meeting place of a secret society and this is the reason why NO ADMITTANCE board is there.

So what do you do when you find one : hmm i leave that decision to yourself whether u throw your books and run, or act fainted or just get used to them…..

found this interesting and amazing pic while surfing over the net, as the tradition goes guess what this is, nah….not a weapon of mass destruction,this is natural guess after seeing the guys looking at it with bewildered expressions.well this is actually a Hard Disk Drive built by IBM in 1956 for the computer named RAMAC(Random Access Memory ACcounting System)!!!. hah bet you never saw that coming…even me.the most interesting  even greater than its size is its storage capacity.well it is 5 million characters a.k.a 4.4 MB.it weighed over a ton and took the place of an OBH-single room to fill and blah blah…….the specs go on foreever!!!!

well for the inquisitive and those who are in quest-of-knowledge (copyright@RGR) among you start digging in google or in wikipedia …….

6:30-8:30pm : get up after a good sleep debating whether i should do my summer project or go to lab for CS.using basic math i decide that i hav 2 months for my project so just playing for one night wont hurt, feeling elated having made my most important decision of this day,i happily go to mess and come back to my room

now the preps start…..

10:00pm-3:30am : if neone sees me scurying along fast at night for places in the lab, they may misunderstand us for students who are about to complete their research:) [hah haha]
so a few of us arrive at lab and wait for others.slowly the players trickle in and soon the matches start.an aura of excitement surrounds.the afternoon nap really did build my adrenaline reserves.at first the lab is quiet,but soon the noise starts.it grows exponentially and soon we can hear all the different swears and profanity in their full color.the people leave their orbits and start going to higher levels of excitement and as they come down, the excess adrenaline is emitted as mentioned above.the others glare at us but we are too busy playing the game.challenges and criticisms are often heard and i think they are stepping stones to success.

well i started to play a single match but ended up playing a full 6 hours.now others[name i give to people who do not play the game] may feel that playing is very easy.but i can tell you that it requires great concentration,dedication and killer attitude and you should have extraordinary perception skills.now that i blurted that out i can feel les guilty abt the 6hrs:)

at 3:3oam:all along the way back we discuss the frags and knifes and plans then sleep thinking of strategies we tried and how to kick other teams ass high up in the air next time.

well thinking back i feel sometimes that i wasted time, but what the hell , i enjoyed a lot[true gamer attitude]
